David Poyer
His 28 books include The Med, China Sea, and Black Storm, best-selling novels of the modern Navy; The Dead of Winter and Winter in the Heart,
contemporary literature; Hatteras Blue and Down to a Sunless Sea, underwater adventure; and Fire on the Waters, A Country of Our Own, and That Anvil of Our Souls, Civil War fiction. His work has been translated into Japanese, Dutch, and Italian, and rights sold for films and
audio books. His most recent book is the The Threat, about an attempted coup in Washington, published November 2006 by St. Martin’s Press. Poyer is an
