Richard Mathews
Richard Mathews is the author two collections of poetry and several books about science fiction and fantasy. His poems have appeared in periodicals including Apalachee Quarterly, Berkeley Poetry Review, Christian Science Monitor, Louisville Review, Poet Lore, and Southern Poetry Review, and in various anthologies. His most recent nonfiction book about fantasy as a literary genre, Fantasy: The Liberation of Imagination, is available in hardback from Twayne/Macmillan and in paperback from Routledge. He teaches at the University of Tampa, where he is Editor of the literary journal Tampa Review and Director of the University of Tampa Press.
