The first place winner of the 2001 Florida First Coast Writers’ Festival Josiah W. Bancroft Sr. Novel Contest, The Poet of Loch Ness, led Brian Jay Corrigan to be named the Georgia Author of the Year. He is a professor of Renaissance literature in the University system of Georgia and is the 2004 Georgia Board of Regent’s Professor of the Year and winner of the Excellence in Teaching Award. A world-known expert in Shakespeare, his academic book, Playhouse Law in Shakespeare’s World, was published in June 2004. He is the co-founder of the Dahlonega Literary Festival. Visit his Web site.
