Lenore Hart
Lenore Hart is the author of the novel Waterwoman (The Penguin Group), a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Authors book, and a BookSpan and Literary Guild selection. Her other novels include Ordinary Springs (Penguin) and Black River (Putnam). Her books for children include T. Rex at Swan Lake (with Lisa Carrier), and The Treasure of Savage Island (Dutton). Her latest novel, Becky, is forthcoming from St. Martin’s Press in January 2008.
She’s also published short fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry in the U.S., Canada, and Norway; has received grants from the NEA and various state arts councils, and was given the 2007 Distinguished Alumni Award by Old Dominion University. Her work has been featured on Voice of America, in Poets and Writers Magazine, and on the PBS series “Writer To Writer.” Hart teaches in the graduate creative writing program at Wilkes University, and lives
on the Eastern Shore of Virginia with her husband, novelist David
