Deborah Ayer

Deborah is originally from England, but spent a large part of her childhood in Germany. She majored in English Literature at Staffordshire University.

In 1990 Deborah moved to the United States and spent eight years in the Washington D.C. area where she established a career in human resources. After relocating to Jacksonville in 1998 she worked as the Academic Coordinator at Florida Coastal School of Law before moving into a marketing position for a large commercial real estate developer.

Missing the educational environment, however, Deborah later accepted a position as Business Development Specialist with University of Phoenix and was actively involved with the First Coast Higher Education Alliance. She joined FCCJ in her current position in 2007.
