CET 2688 Principles and Practices of the CISSP — 3 Credit Hours

This course provides information on Access Control Systems and Methodology, security practices for Applications and Systems Development, developing the techniques of Business Continuity Planning, exploring Cryptography and its security implications, examining the Law, Investigation and Ethics as they pertain to information assurance and security, techniques of Operations Security, investigating and understanding the importance of Physical Security in a virtual environment, best practices in Security Architecture and Models, analyzing Security Management Practices in a variety of settings, evaluating and performing extensive analysis of Telecommunications, Network and Internet Security. Hands-on exercises are an integral part of the course. Four contact hours: three lecture hours; one laboratory hour. A.S., A.A.S.
