AER 1422 Brake: Module II, Brake Controls — 1 Credit Hour

Prerequisite: AER 1421. This course is designed with knowledge-based, performance-based and intern-based skills identified as standards for the automotive industry. Topics will include theory and operation of brake boosters and master cylinders in todays brake systems. The removal and installation of components will be covered following prescribed manufacturers procedures. Component bleeding procedures will be performed in compliance with manufacturers recommendations. The knowledge skills represent theory of the topics and support the mastery of the performance-based skills for this topic. Twenty-two and one-half contact hours: fifteen lecture hours, seven and one-half laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
