The UPS Earn and Learn Program at FCCJ
You probably know UPS as the worlds largest
transportation company. But youre about to know the company as
one of the best friends a student ever had.
The UPS Earn and Learn program is open to all
Florida Community College students working
toward a GED, adult high school diploma,
technical certificate, workforce certificate
or associate degree.
Heres the deal — the UPS Earn and Learn
program now offers FCCJ students:
- Part-time jobs, working between 3.5 and 4.5 hours per
day
- Paying $8.50 to $9.50 per hour with weekly
paychecks
- Up to $3,000 per year in tuition assistance, including $25 per class for
books
- The ConSern Loan Program, which offers up to $8,000 over four
years. Provided a student maintains employment, UPS pays for the loan!
- Medical, dental and vision benefits
- A 401(k) savings plan
- Paid vacations
- Great career opportunities when youre finished with
school
What more could you ask? You get a great job, outstanding
benefits, tuition assistance — and the chance to move up within UPS when
your studies are completed.
Education and training are core values of UPSs unique
culture, and the company offers a variety of initiatives that help employees reach
their educational and career goals. The companys strong “promotion
from within” policy develops todays part-time employees into
tomorrows executives.
Because of this, UPS provides opportunities for employees to
pursue higher education as well as training programs that prepare them for current
and future jobs within the company. In fact, most members of the UPS management
committee started as part-time loaders and unloaders.
In addition, the companys commitment to its employees has
been recognized by several notable publications, including as Americas Best
Part-Time Job (by Money magazine), one of Americas Best Companies for Minorities
(FORTUNE magazine) and the Best Company Benefits (Money magazine).
The UPS Earn and Learn program is open to all qualified
Florida Community College students. And its a program thats just too
good to pass up.
