Workforce Certificate
Telecommunications Technology (5713)
  This program provides an entry-level course in cabling installation and continuing education courses for a career in telecommunications. The coursework and work experience prepare you to become a cabling installer, repair and maintenance technician, infrastructure designer, and telecommunications project manager.
  Certification and Licensing:
This program will certify students in copper-based and fiber optic cabling.
  Requirements and Curriculum:
Scores on the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) determine whether students will be required to enroll in basic skills training for reading, mathematics, and language.

  Application Procedures:
A high school diploma or GED is not required for admission. However, students in this program must take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and score at or above the ninth-grade level prior to enrollment or during the first three weeks of class. To enroll, complete an FCCJ membership application and pay a one-time application fee of $15. Also, you must be advised by the instructor or program director before enrolling in courses.
