B.A.S. in Supervision and Management (S100)
The B.A.S. has more technical courses that are taught in an applied format while the B.S. has more general education courses taught in a traditional format
- Completion of the A.S. or A.A. degree
- Completion of a minimum of eight credit hours of foreign language in college or two years of the same foreign language in high school. Students who have not completed this requirement may be admitted into the program but will be required to complete eight credit hours of a foreign language prior to the completion of the program.
- Completion of a minimum of 15 credit hours in transferable general education.
- A minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 in all postsecondary coursework.
- Submit B.A.S. application by deadline
- Submit supplemental documentation by deadline
Either degree is acceptable provided that you have met the appropriate requirements.
The most efficient way to improve your GPA is to retake a course that you received a low grade. Review grade forgiveness and course repeats in the current catalog.
All seated classes will be at the Kent Campus.
Yes. Courses will be offered during the evenings initially.
Most classes will be eight weeks long and offered in hybrid format; half of the class time will be spent on campus in a seated classroom and half of the class time will be spent working online. The online time will allow you to pace your study to better fit your personal schedule.
The program is already structured to be accelerated. All courses are taught in an accelerated eight-week format.
While a specific date has not been determined for all courses to be available online, online sections are available for most courses.
Possibly, this will depend on student interest. However we will not offer daytime classes during the spring semester.
Students must complete a total of 120 credits to earn a B.A.S. in Supervision and Management. Since students entering the program will have already completed an associates degree, students who are enrolled fulltime will be able to complete the bachelor’s degree within approximately two years. Completion for part-time students will depend on the number of credit hours the student is enrolled in each term.
- All applicants must complete an application for the B.A.S. in Supervision and Management and submit to Student Services by the deadline posted on the College Web site.
- All applicants must electronically submit a letter of recommendation (LOR) on company letterhead with an original signature from their current employer, or if not currently employed, a LOR from a previous employer (within the last 5 years) and a one-page essay that describes how this program will enhance your career by the deadline posted on the College Web site.
Yes, any Student Success offices will accept your application.
You will need to fill out the B.A.S. application but do not need to pay an application fee.

Registration follows FCCJ’s regular registration periods. Dates for the specific term are posted on the Web site. All students must be advised by the B.A.S. in Supervision and Management program office prior to initial registration.
Yes, advising is required prior to initial enrollment in the program. During this advising session an individualized plan will be developed based on your prior coursework.
Students that are accepted into the program will receive notification of a prearranged advising appointment
Yes, Federal financial aid and scholarships for B.A.S. students are available through the College’s financial aid office for students meeting the eligibility requirements

No. However, we encourage students to follow the recommended course sequence in order to complete all coursework within six semesters.
Yes, provided your employer is willing to support you.
Currently the program does not support a specific minor. However, students can take 2000+ level courses as part of 18 credit hours in an area of interest.
No. However, if you also have transcripts from any other college or university, you must have them sent. An application will not be complete without all college transcripts.
You will need to complete the A.S. degree prior to submitting a B.A.S. application. Usually this means a few additional courses. Contact an advisor to determine what course(s) you will need.
Yes, courses taken at other institutions can be transferred in accordance with FCCJ’s policy for transfer courses.

The College will change its name on August 1, 2009.
- Fulfill the requirements for the chosen major;
- Earn a minimum of 120 unduplicated semester hours with at least a “C” average (2.0 GPA) for all FCCJ coursework attempted;
- Earn a minimum of 30 of their last 36 hours in regular courses at FCCJ;
- Earn a minimum of 25 percent of the total hours required for the degree in residence at FCCJ;
- Apply no more than 45 semester hours in any combination of extension, correspondence, CLEP, University Credit by Examination and Armed Forces credits toward an undergraduate degree;
- Fulfill the General Education Program requirements;
- Fulfill the Foreign Language requirement:
- Students who have not completed two years of high school foreign language must complete eight semester hours of foreign language at Florida Community College prior to graduation
- Fulfill the College–Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST) requirement according to Florida Rule 6A-10.030;
- Be registered at FCCJ during the semester of graduation.
