Special Admissions
Applicants who are 16- or 17-years-old seeking admittance into the Adult Basic Education (ABE) program must submit the following:
- A completed membership application including Social Security number
- Citizenship verification. Applicants must be citizens of the United States or resident aliens. If applicants are not U.S. citizens or resident aliens, Florida Community College requires papers issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to determine eligibility for admission.
- Confirmation from all high schools attended that individual has not been convicted of any of the following offenses:
- distribution of drugs
- simple battery upon school employees or agents
- robbery
- extortion
- burglary of school property
- criminal mischief or vandalism
- possession of weapons or dangerous objects
- indecent public conduct
- battery upon another student resulting in bodily harm
- inciting or participating in a major student disorder
- commission of any felony
