Meeting Summary
June 9, 2008

Administration
1. Workers’ Comp APMs 03-0906 and 03-0907
Dr. Chris Arab and Stanley Jurewicz discussed the revisions and clarified the process for reporting on-the-job injuries and indicated the APMs are now more in-line with Florida Statutes. Letters of explanation to supervisors are being drafted. Dr. Arab will work to merge these two APMs since they are so closely related in subject matter.
2. Reserve funded positions
Dr. Wallace shared that the College’s budget will continue to be under-funded for the foreseeable future. It is still $4 million short in salary lines. There are 67 positions in reserve funded status, 25 of them being career positions. These positions were chosen due to their category (job title). He expects that no one will have to lose their position, and no one should panic when the list of positions is made known (hopefully within the next week). The letter to the affected employees from Dr. Arab will indicate that if they have any questions to please contact their Cabinet member. There is a possibility that some positions also will need to be reserve funded in 2009-10.
Career
1. Age of dependants for tuition purposes
Dr. Wallace said the Cabinet hasn’t reached closure in their discussion of this, and he hopes to have an answer for CEC at next CEOV.
