Dr. Asay is currently serving her third term as vice chair of the Board for Nassau County. Now retired, Dr.
Asay was vice president for external affairs at Tulane
University. Her earlier
career included service in state and federal government and
with an international corporation. She is a director of INMED—Partnerships
for Children and a board member of the Northeast Florida Healthy Start Coalition. A member of the Bars of Kansas and New York,
Dr. Asay completed
undergraduate work at Mills
College, Oakland, California and received the Juris Doctor
degree in 1965 from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. |

Mr. Delaney is president and chief executive officer of Delaney and Associates Consulting. Residing in Jacksonville since 1987, Mr. Delaney served with the United States Navy from 1964-1998, and as commanding officer of Naval Air Station Jacksonville 1989-1991. He also served as the Navy’s regional commander while rear admiral, holding responsibility for 14 major naval installations and four naval hospitals. He has served as president or chair of many organizations. He presently serves with the Rotary Club of Jacksonville, the Salvation Army of Jacksonville, the Northeast Florida Safety Council, the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce and the FCCJ Foundation Board of Directors. He also serves on the Cathedral Arts Project Board of Directors and as chair of the Ronald McDonald House Advisory Board. Mr. Delaney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the U. S. Naval Academy and Master of Science in Business Administration from George Washington University. |

Mr. McCollum is owner of McCollum Enterprises Consulting and is retired from BellSouth with 34 years of service. He served in the United States Army and in the U. S. Army Reserve. He has chaired the University of North Florida School of Business Advisory Committee, the Jacksonville regional Chamber of Commerce, the Northeast Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the American Red Cross of Northeast Florida and the WJCT Public Television Board of Trustees. He has served on the Jacksonville Sports and Entertainment Board, the Jacksonville Economic Development Committee Tourism Taskforce and the Scripps Florida Funding Corporation. He also serves on the Jacksonville Aviation Authority. Mr. McCollum attended Miami-Dade Junior College and graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising and Public Relations. He achieved his Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of West Florida. |

Thomas R. “Mac” McGehee, Jr. currently serves as chair of the District Board of Trustees. In 2007-08, he served as vice-chair of the Board for Duval County. Mr. McGehee was appointed to the Board by Governor Bush in 1999 and reappointed by Governor Crist in July 2007. He is executive vice president of Mac Papers, Inc., a family-owned paper distribution company. He received his B.A. degree in business management from the University of Florida. Mr. McGehee presently serves as secretary of the St. Vincent’s Hospital Foundation Board. He previously held posts as director of the Printing Association of Florida; chair of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee and president of the Navy League of Jacksonville. |

Ms. Smith graduated from Emory University in 1969 with a Bachelor’s
degree in marketing and business administration. She later
attended the University of North Florida. Ms. Smith holds a
real estate license and worked in real estate sales for a time
before leaving that field to devote more time to her family
and community. She serves on the board of the Otis F. Smith
Foundation and was elected chairman of the Foundation for the
1998-1999 term. Ms. Smith also serves on the Leadership Council
of Take Stock in Children, an organization that promotes individual
mentoring to middle and high school youth, on the Advisory
Board of Seamark Ranch, a Christian home for abused and neglected
children,
on the Foundation Board of the Independent Living Center and
on the Endowment and Operating Board of Communities and Schools.
She served as
Chair of the Board for the 2005-06 academic year, Vice
Chair for Duval County for the
2002-03
academic
year and as President of the Colleges Foundation for the 2004-05 academic year. |

Ms. Thamm served as the College’s Board Chair from 2003-05 and was the Board’s Vice Chair for Nassau County for five terms. On scholarship to Syracuse University she earned an A.B. degree in Soviet/East European Area Studies with a minor in the Russian language; she later attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Before retiring, Ms. Thamm worked for the Library of Congress for 25 years in various capacities, including research, public service, collections management, and technical processing. She currently serves on the Historic District Council for the City of Fernandina Beach. After having served as secretary of the Board of the Amelia Island Museum of History, she now co-chairs the Veterans’ History Project of the Museum, a partnering institution with the Library of Congress. |

Mr. Weinstein is president of Take Stock in Children, a non-profit program that
provides scholarships and mentoring to low-income students in Florida. A graduate
of Hartwick College in New York, he earned a Master’s degree from California
State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University
of Florida. Most of his 25-year career in finance and management
has been devoted to the public sector. Mr. Weinstein
is former executive director of the Jacksonville Economic
Development Commission, as well as past president and former chief executive
officer of the city’s 2005 Super Bowl Host Committee. He served as
chief financial officer for the City of Jacksonville and executive director of
the
State Attorney’s Office. He is presently on the
boards of the Air Service Development Task Force, Police
Athletic League and Super Bowl Host Committee. Mr.
Weinstein is active in the Downtown Rotary, Jacksonville
Community Council, Inc., Leadership Jacksonville, and the
North Florida Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis
Society. |

N. Wyman Winbush II has served on the District Board of Trustees since 1999 and served two consecutive terms as Chair from 2006-08. He is a sales manager for IBM and serves as Captain in the Naval Reserves at NAS Jacksonville. He received a B.S. degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and his M.B.A. degree from Jacksonville University. In addition to his experience on the College’s Board of Trustees, Mr. Winbush previously served six years as a member of the Florida Community College Foundation. He is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville and has served in numerous community volunteer roles including that of a featured facilitator for Volunteer Jacksonville’s Blueprint for Leadership program |

Ms. Yates currently serves as vice chair of the Board for Duval County. She was appointed to the Board by Governor Crist in 2007. She has made a lifelong career of public service as a City of Jacksonville employee since 1974. She was founder and director (until 1980) of what is now the Youth Crisis Center. She subsequently served in high-level management positions including division chief and interim director (by appointment) under three Jacksonville mayors. Ms. Yates served as president of the Florida Council on Aging Board of Trustees. She was elected to the Jacksonville City Council in 1999 and re-elected in 2003. Her term expired June 30, 2007. As City Council member she chaired committees on Public Health and Safety and Education; served as Finance chair for the Tourist and Development Council; and was vice chair of both the Rules and the Recreation Community Development and Education committees. Ms. Yates is a graduate of Edward Waters College and completed the University of North Florida Government Fellows Program and Jacksonville University’s Management Development Certificate Program. |
