Florida Community College Cecil Center Open House Sept. 11
Learn about degrees and careers in aviation, a brand-new commercial truck driving program; win valuable scholarships and prizes by attending

Florida Community College at Jacksonville is offering an Open House event for prospective students at both of its Cecil Center locations on Sept. 11 from 5-8 p.m.

Cecil Center North, at 5640 New World Avenue, will highlight associate degree programs for University Transfer, as well as college preparatory and high-school completion programs. Prospective students will be able to view the new permanent facility, scheduled to be dedicated in October.

Cecil Center South, at 13450 Lake Fretwell Street (housing the Aviation Center of Excellence on Cecil Commerce Center grounds) will highlight programs in Aviation and Aerospace. Prospective students will be able to tour the hangar and Aviation program facilities, aircraft and equipment.

Also highlighted at Cecil Center South will be the brand new program in Commercial Truck Driving, the region’s most affordable. FCCJ recently earned an $88,000 federal grant dedicated to scholarships for training students for careers in trucking. Find out how to qualify for scholarships and how to earn your CDL!
