Registration opens for Pathways Academy at Florida Community College
Pathways Academy, the Florida Community College charter school approved by the Duval County School
Board in 2005 to provide an alternative for high-school dropouts, is offering information sessions and registration
throughout June for its inaugural class. Prospective students and their parents or guardians are invited to attend
registration/information sessions at Downtown Campus on any of the following dates:

Pathways Academy is designed to provide academic, career, character and life instruction to high-school
dropouts in a simultaneous secondary and postsecondary curriculum. This program is offered at no cost to students.
Comprehensive case-management services, individualized attention, career development and innovative curricula will lead
students on the path to a high-school diploma and high-wage, high-demand jobs in biotechnology, automotive technology,
construction, IT advanced manufacturing and finance.
