Norman P. Will, Florida Community College South Campus president, deceased at age 58

Florida Community College at Jacksonville is saddened to acknowledge the death of Norman P. Will, Ph.D., South Campus president, on September 15 at age 58. He was a resident of Ormond Beach.

Will had been president of South Campus for six years, since his appointment in July of 1999. He came to Florida Community College from Daytona Beach Community College, where he had worked for nine years, first as dean of arts and sciences, then as vice president.

Will is survived by his spouse Eleanor and daughter Christina.

Florida Community College President Steven Wallace wants to assure South Campus students that their classes and services will continue with minimal interruption. In that regard, he has appointed South Campus Dean of Liberal Arts Nancy Yurko, Ph.D., as interim president, to ensure the continuity of leadership at South Campus.

A memorial service is tentatively scheduled for September 19 at 4 p.m. at the Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts on the College's South Campus, 11901 Beach Blvd.
