Business Writing and Supervisory Leadership certificate
training offered at FCCJ
Starting in May, Florida Community College Continuing Education
will offer two popular series for business professionals who
want to advance their careers by improving their writing and
management skills.
will
be held on Wednesdays, May 18–July 6, from 1 to 4 p.m. Ideal
for managers and newly promoted front-line supervisors, this
series provides instruction on Leadership and Management,
Workplace Motivation, Effective Delegation, Managing Change,
Time Management and Goal Setting, Effective Communication, Job
Performance, and Dealing with Workplace Problems. Tuition
for the eight-part series is $379. Individual class modules
cost $55.
The six-part will meet on Tuesdays, May 24–June 28, from 12:30 to 4:30
p.m. Taught by professional writer Deborrah Hoag, the series
focuses on topics such as Grammar and Usage, Business Writing
Style, Proofreading, Letters, Memos, Reports and Proposals. Students
may enroll in the full series at a cost of $275, or the individual
modules for $55 each.
Classes are held at the FCCJ Urban
Resource Center, 601 W. State St. Textbooks are included in the price of the courses. An
FCCJ Certificate will be awarded to students upon successful
completion of either series.
