FCCJ online courses give aspiring writers ideas for getting published

Florida Community College Continuing Education is offering numerous online courses aimed at improving the skills of writers while providing advice and strategies for getting published. These courses are delivered via the Internet, so students can “attend class” without sitting in a traditional classroom. Classes include:

  • Travel Writer
  • Craft of MagazineWriting
  • Writing for Television
  • Writing Your Life Story
  • Writeriffic: Creativity Training
  • Crafting Your Short Fiction
  • Your Screenwriting Career
  • Beginner’s Guide to Getting Published
  • Write Like a Pro
  • History of Women Writers
  • Songwriting Success
  • Pleasures of Poetry

Classes begin May 19, and run for six weeks. Additional classes will start in June. Students will have access to the online classroom 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the duration of the course. Tuition begins at $79.
