The Florida Community College Choral Studies program offers a free concert of holiday music and other choral favorites. This concert provides an opportunity for community members to hear some of the arguably best choral music in the country. The Florida Community College Chorale has been invited to perform in February at the 2005 American Choral Director’s Association National Convention in Los Angeles—an invitation to which is considered one of the highest honors given to a choral program. This is the only community college or university from the state of Florida invited to participate, and one of only two community colleges in the nation. The Florida Community College Chorale will perform alongside such well-known choral groups as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Harvard Glee Club and about 100 other children’s, high school, college and professional choral groups. For more information call Director Wayne Bailey at 904.646.2364.
