Advanced Technology Center tour to tout Bush plan to create jobs; strengthen economy

United States Treasury Secretary John Snow will stop at Florida Community College’s Downtown Campus for a tour of the Advanced Technology Center on Feb. 10, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. According to a Feb. 5 statement from Treasury Spokesman Rob Nichols of the Department of Public Affairs, the Secretary is touring several cities in Florida to discuss U.S. policy toward Cuba, and to promote President Bush’s plan to further strengthen the U.S. economy and create jobs.

Invited guests, which include Mayor Peyton and many other local dignitaries, will tour the facility with the Secretary beginning at an Automotive Technology Lab at the ATC at 401 W. State St. Members of the media are requested to arrive prior to 3 p.m. and assemble at the Automotive Lab. Guests and media are invited to accompany the Secretary on the tour, and time will be allotted at the end of the tour for questions from the press.

The Advanced Technology Center provides workforce training in information technology, biotechnology, advanced manufacturing and transportation technology.
