
Florida Community College Continuing Education is offering language classes this summer in Spanish, Italian and French that will benefit both travelers and workplace professionals alike.
Italian Ciao! introduces students to grammar, pronunciation and useful Italian expressions for ordering from a menu, shopping and getting around Italy. Two sessions are scheduled this summer at the FCCJ Deerwood Center, 9911 Old Baymeadows Rd. The evening class meets on Thursdays, May 20 – July 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and the daytime class meets on Tuesdays, May 25 – July 13, from 10 a.m. to noon. Cost for the clas is $45.
Everyday Spanish teaches handy phrases and expressions that are useful when traveling, ordering from a menu and shopping. This introductory level class meets daytime on Wednesdays, May 26 – June 30, 10 a.m. to noon at FCCJ Deerwood Center. Cost for the class is $55.
Conversational French Beginning - Online is a convenient way to learn the basics of French language through the use of simple phonetic spellings and online audio clips. Cultural tips are provided during each of the twelve lessons. All instruction is delivered via the Internet and is accessible 24 hours a day for six weeks. Classes begin May 19 and June 16. Cost is $89.
