Florida Community College announces Faculty Award winners for 2004
Florida Community College has announced the names of eight faculty members as recipients of annual awards that recognize excellence in the teaching profession.
Winners of the Outstanding Faculty Award are Hope Clayton, Professor of English at Downtown Campus; Richard Greene, Professor of English at Kent Campus; Mary James, Professor of Chemistry at Kent Campus; Sheila Kerr, Professor of Reading, South Campus; Dana Kuehn, Counselor, Kent Campus; and Aleen Marsh, Professor of English for Speakers of Other Languages, Downtown Campus.
The Nathan H. Wilson Endowed Chair for Community Leadership in Minority Affairs was awarded to Nadine Whitfield, Professor of Reading, Downtown Campus.
Winner of the Innovative Technology Award (announced in Feb.) is Lynn Lisenby, Professor of Biology, Downtown Campus.
The eight award winners will be officially recognized when the College holds its annual Convocation at South Campus in August.
Florida Community College employs nearly 400 full-time faculty members and about 800 adjunct instructors.
