
Florida Community College is hosting
five career exploration events for high school juniors and
seniors throughout the month of February. Student groups
from surrounding high schools are invited to spend a half-day
on campus “Backstage Tours” visiting
labs and studios, as well as talking to students, faculty and
staff about career fields of interest to them. Schools will
provide bus transportation to the campuses. Students
are invited to attend individually even if their school is
not sponsoring the tour as a field trip; however, they must
reserve a space by Jan. 30.
The Feb. 5 tour will focus on programs in health
care, dental care, food and hospitality, cosmetology, law enforcement
and criminal justice. The Feb. 19 tour will focus on health
care, dental care, law enforcement and criminal justice.

video, animation and graphic design, sign language, fine arts,
performing arts, journalism and communications.

marketing, aviation, computer technology, interior design and

education and child care, architecture, engineering and manufacturing.
Students are scheduled to arrive at 8:30 a.m. for tours. The
College will provide lunch at the campuses. Students will leave
