Florida Community College at Jacksonville students achieve statewide honors
Forty-one students named to FCCAA All-Academic Team for athletics and academics

Forty-one Florida Community College at Jacksonville students were among the students named to 2003-2004 Florida Community College Activities Association All-Academic Team. All-Academic Team Awards are made to students in sports and activities. The purpose of these awards is to recognize the academic achievements of students participating in activities at Florida’s community colleges. To be eligible, students must have at least a 3.3 grade point average (GPA). In addition to Academic Team recognition, students having a 3.8 or higher GPA become members of the Distinguished All-Academic Team. (An asterisk* by the name indicates students who have achieved this honor.)

Florida Community College at Jacksonville members include Nicole Smith-Johns, Michelle Attia and Oscar Rodriguez as participants in Publications; Amelia Rivers, Cristina Crocker, Keita Credle Bembry, Latrell D. Council, Lauren D. Johnson and John Paul Martinez as participants in Student Government; Matthew Bernstine*, Michael Brady, Lee Bryant, Scott Chapman, Justin Cicatello, James Farina, Douglas Gies, John Lanier, Michael Lawro, Scott Liggett, Tyler Rust and Richard Santo as participants in Baseball; Alex Dickinson, Suzie Finger*, Lindsey Freitag, Nicole Giuliani*, Lauren Hesse, Krista Judge*, Jacqueline Pacheco, Amelia Paulson*, Lauren Robinson and Jessica Shepard as participants in Fast-Pitch Softball; Chris Lewis as a participant in Men’s Basketball; Kristin Thomas as a participant in Women’s Tennis; Allison Bear*, Melissa Bear, Mandy Gerrell*, Elizabeth Layfield, Stacy Lee*, Lacey Martin, Elise McKay and Brenna Murphy as participants in Women’s Volleyball.

The following Florida Community College at Jacksonville students achieved further distinction by having the highest GPA in their sport or activity: Suzie Finger, Nicole Giuliani and Krista Judge in Fast-Pitch Softball and Allison Bear and Stacy Lee in Volleyball.
