
The Institute for Financial Studies at Florida
Community College will offer an evening workshop on long-term
care on October 7, for those planning future needs for home health,
assisted living or nursing home care.
The two-hour workshop is intended primarily for individuals in
their 50s and 60s. It covers a variety of issues, including how
to select a long-term care facility and how to finance long-term
care through insurance or alternate options. Speakers include:
Nancy Allen, R.N., B.S.N., C, an elder care medical consultant
with more than 25 years of experience specializing in home health,
insurance and long-term care management and Charles Ostholm,
CFP“, a certified financial planner professional with expertise
in long-term care financial planning.
The workshop will be held at the College’s Kent Campus,
3939 Roosevelt Blvd., Room F-235, from 6-8 p.m. and costs $15.
