Florida Community College at Jacksonville ranks fifth in nation in associate degrees in nursing (R.N.) granted for 2007-2008
Also ranks fourth in Liberal Arts and Sciences; in top 10 in three other categories
Florida Community College at Jacksonville is the fifth largest producer of associate degrees in nursing (R.N.) in the nation, according to an article published in Community College Week, a publication specializing in national community college education issues. Last year the College was ranked sixth in the same category.
The College also ranked fourth in the nation in the number of associate degrees awarded in Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Humanities. This is also a step up for the fifth-place rank last year.
Florida Community College is in the top ten rankings for three additional categories. It ranked fifth in the nation for one-year certificates in all disciplines, sixth in the nation in African-American students earning one-year certificates and seventh in the nation in students earning associate degrees in all disciplines.
The College also ranked thirteenth in the total number earned associate degrees in Health Professions and Related Clinical Sciences.
