Florida Community College Jacksonville announces Faculty Award winners for 2009
Florida Community College has announced the names of six faculty members as recipients of annual awards that recognize excellence in teaching and leadership.
Winners of the Outstanding Faculty Award are Margaret Clark, Professor of English, South Campus; and Richard Grigsby, Professor of Culinary Arts, North Campus.
The Marcus Drewa Endowed Chair for Excellence in Instruction Supporting Health Care and Natural Sciences is awarded to Jose Fierro, Professor of Biological Science, Kent Campus.
The Roland S. Kennedy Endowed Chair for Excellence in Instruction Supporting Business Education is awarded to Pamela Hopcroft, Professor of Accounting, Kent Campus.
The Sister Mary Clare Hughes Endowed Chair for Excellence in Health Care and Natural Sciences is awarded to Glenda Miller, Professor of Dental Assisting, North Campus.
Winner of the Innovative Technology Award is John Salazar, Professor of Respiratory Care, North Campus.
The award winners will be officially recognized when the College holds its annual Convocation at South Campus in August.
