Florida Community College announces Faculty Award winners for 2008
Florida Community College has announced the names of eight faculty members as recipients of annual awards that recognize excellence in teaching and leadership.
Winners of the Outstanding Faculty Award are Donna Martin, Professor of Mathematics, North Campus; Cheryl Schmidt, Professor of Network Engineering Technology, Downtown Campus; and Charles Feldstein, Professor of English, South Campus.
The Marcus Drewa Endowed Chair for Excellence in Instruction Supporting Health Care and Natural Sciences is awarded to Eudelia “Skip” Thomas, Professor of Medical Records, North Campus.
The Dr. Clyde B. Lipscomb Endowed Chair for Excellence in Instruction Supporting Nursing Education is awarded to Stacey Burns, Professor of Nursing, North Campus.
The Sister Mary Clare Hughes Endowed Chair for Excellence in Health Care and Natural Sciences is awarded to John Salazar, Professor of Respiratory Care, North Campus.
The Nathan H. Wilson Endowed Chair for Community Leadership in Community Affairs is Lee A. Seltzer Jr., Professor of Mathematics, Kent Campus.
Winner of the Innovative Technology Award is Susan Schultz, Professor of Nursing, North Campus.
The award winners will be officially recognized when the College holds its annual Convocation at South Campus in August.
