FCCJ Downtown Campus Career Development Center offering a free Workshop and Job Fair
The Downtown Campus Career Development Center at Florida Community College is offering two free events for job seekers in February.
On Feb. 11 the CDC will host a Basic Work readiness Skills Workshop. On hand will be WorkSource career Coordinator Shelly Ray. She will share many of the basic and often overlooked facets of the job search process such as punctuality, appearance and body language. The workshop will help students and other job seekers understand the skills that potential employers expect job applicants to possess. The workshop will be held in Bldg. A, Room 1058 (small auditorium) from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
On Feb. 12 WorkSource will be at FCCJ hosting their Career Marketplace Job Fair at the College’s Advanced Technology Center, Room T-140-141. The Job Fair runs from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Employers scheduled to attend include Aramark, Auction Direct, University of Phoenix, Kaman Aerospace and University of Florida Jacksonville Healthcare. Both events are free and open to the public.
