Teaching Tip

Using a Quick Class Assessment

To help determine if the class is meeting your needs, as well as the course goals, please complete and return this assessment. No name is required. You may add comments, utilizing the back if needed.

Statement Very Somewhat Okay Not at All
I find the method of instruction to be confusing and disorganized
I feel comfortable with most of the students
I feel comfortable asking questions, even if they seem stupid
I am well prepared when I come to class
I find classroom discussions are encouraged
I find I am more interested in the subject than I thought I would be

Please write a metaphorical comment or sentence describing how you feel at this point in the class. For example, “up a creek without a paddle,” “high as a kite,” or “the new information is sticking to me like white on rice.” You could also equate it to a television show, for example, one of the X-men or Survivor.
