Adjunct Faculty Bio

Maureen McLain
Adjunct Faculty, Interior Design, Kent Campus

Maureen is a graduate of the interior design program at California State University at Long Beach. Her experience in the design field includes store design, model homes, residential design and restaurant design. She taught color theory and presentation techniques in California at Orange Coast Community College in Costa Mesa, and Saddleback Community College in Irvine, California. In March 1997, Maureen moved to Jacksonville and met and married Kurt Jensen, an architect. She has three grown children and a step-daughter. Since coming to Jacksonville she has integrated her design skills, environmental passion and human nutrition and development into her business, Heart and Soul Interiors. Other interests and hobbies include health and fitness, black and white photography, video filming, performance art, music and dance. She is also a co-director and performer with the Jacksonville Playback Theater.
