
Adjunct Faculty Bio
Loela Marinelli
Loela Marinelli graduated with a bachelor of science degree in animal science from The Ohio State University. She has lived and worked in various cities in the United States as well as in the Far East. While living overseas she taught conversational English at the Japanese Self-Defense Academy, was the volunteer Safety Services Coordinator and a Water Safety Instructor Trainer for the American Red Cross at Yokosuka Naval Base, was involved in a variety of educational programs for children and adults, and earned a masters of arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Michigan State University.
Loela arrived in Jacksonville in 1985 and has been teaching science and computer literacy at Fletcher Middle School since then. She began her adjunct career with FCCJ in 1989 and received her MAT in Technology Education from Jacksonville University in 1993. She enjoys gardening, reading, music, OSU football (GO Bucks!) and visiting with her children and grandchildren.
