Adjunct Faculty Bio

John Chapman
Adjunct Instructor, North Campus

Undergraduate majors of Mathematics and Physics led me to a career in the USAF in Meteorology.

Following an active duty period, I started a career in the beverage industry, primarily in the Quality Assurance field.  During this time I completed my M.B.A.

My teaching started in the Chicago suburb of Joliet. I taught credit math courses in their junior college as well as nearby four year institutions. Upon moving to Jacksonville, with its different accreditation agency, I was relegated to teaching only College Prep math.

I was surprised how rewarding this has become, helping students that have been away from school for years overcome the math anxiety and become successful students.
