Adjunct Faculty Bio

Deborah Morris
Director of Program Development, Workforce Programs and Adjunct Faculty Member, Educator Preparation Institute

Deborah works in the FCCJ administrative offices assisting faculty and staff with a wide range of program development and program improvement initiatives. She also teaches classes in educational psychology, foundations and technology in the new Educator Preparation Institute, an alternative teacher certification program for students with bachelor’s degrees in other fields. Before moving to Florida from Oregon in 1999, Deborah managed large state-wide and national projects in math and science education, and she taught in undergraduate and graduate education programs.

She enjoys traveling with her husband, if only to get time away from their five cats. She has an M.Ed. from Boston University and a Ph.D. in higher education policy from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!).
