2008 Campaign
The College has successfully transitioned to a spring United Communities Campaign beginning in 2008. This year’s goal is $72,500, and the campaign will be held from February 4 through April 4, 2008.
These two agencies focus on what matters most — making a difference in the lives of people in our community. And from that mission, we’ve taken our theme for this year’s United Communities Campaign: United We Do What Matters.
United Way of Northeast Florida’s mission is “to unite people and resources in building a stronger and healthier community.” Last year, the community raised $25,175,823 to fund more than 100 vital programs provided by United Way’s 71 certified agencies and Community partners which is a true indication of the character of our community. In fact the generosity of our employees helped them overcome major funding cuts threatening these fundamental programs. These funds are essential to First Coast citizens who turn to United Way agencies for help.
When we contribute to both agencies over 90 percent of each dollar contributed stays in our community.
Community Health Charities is the only Federation devoted exclusively to raising money for health agencies through workplace giving campaigns. Their goal is to raise money for their member agencies so they can use these dollars to support research that seeks causes, cures and prevention while supporting and initiating other programs to improve the quality of life of people affected by the major diseases and disabilities facing all of us. In Jacksonville, Community Health Charities of Floridaagencies have received over $500,000 in payroll designations last year and have spent millions of dollars on local programs, services, treatments and research.

Both of these fine community organizations thank you for your generous support of over $79,000 last year which provided assistance to over 360,000 people in Northeast Florida, including over 121,000 children.
Your support in filling out this year’s pledge forms and participating in the various exciting campus campaign rallies and events during the fall and spring terms is appreciated.
