Project Management

Presenter: Joanna Scarboro

Program Description: Successful projects in the workplace don’t happen by accident! Great projects are great because they are specific, well-planned and strategically managed to ensure winning results. This workshop will provide participants with the foundation of successful project planning and management, and equip them with knowledge that will translate into skills that effectively execute real-world projects.

Course Objectives and Measurable Outcomes: Each participant will learn:

  • Why project management is necessary and important to achieve organizational goals.
  • To describe the phases of the project management process.
  • To identify characteristics that influence the success of projects.
  • To create a thorough project plan that includes strategic objectives, team formation, task analysis, scheduling and communication.

Practical Application Exercises:

This course will provide the opportunity for participants to embrace the learning objectives through multiple individual and group exercises.

Student Workshop Evaluation/Assessment of Learning: An evaluation will be given to all participants regarding the training outcomes and specifically how they will apply them.
