Outdoor Team Building

Program Description: The Outdoor Education Center is located in a pristine wooded corner of the 102 acre Nassau Center in Yulee, Fla. The physical support facilities, designed to blend in with the natural setting, complement the extensive low ropes course and the towering 30 foot climbing wall. The outdoor education program offers team building, leadership and environmental education programs to corporations and businesses, and the low ropes course and the climbing wall are the best in the state. This program lasts approximately seven hours or can be held overnight.

• Low Ropes Course — The low ropes challenge course is designed to build solid cohesive teams. We can accommodate two groups of eight to 14 people on the course at one time. The physical demands of the program are designed to be one notch above the comfort level of the group. Success is based on the results of the entire group. Each group is led by two trained facilitators.
• The Climbing Wall — The climbing wall stands out like a beacon and will leave a lasting impression on all those who endeavor to ascend to its summit. Climbing the wall stimulates camaraderie, builds trust, enhances problem-solving skills and increases self-esteem among all who participate.
• Canoeing and Backpacking — We can fully outfit your group with equipment for a canoeing and backpacking experience they’ll treasure for years to come. Your group can come paddle with us on a beautiful creek after learning how to “quick start” your canoe in our very own lake. You will choose the length of the backpacking trail and we will do the rest.

Course Objectives and Measurable Outcomes: Initiatives included in the day are selected to meet the objectives of the group such as communications, problem solving, building trust and leadership. Participants will have a challenging and enjoyable experience where they will be engaged in the process of working together as a team to solve problems. The course package includes consultation, design and delivery of a customized program and photographs.

Student Workshop Evaluation/Assessment of Learning: An evaluation will be given to all participants regarding the training outcomes and specifically how they will apply them.
