Change may affect their job security, earnings, status, personal relationships, or well-established habits and routines. It is not at all surprising that many people have a marked tendency to resist change. Individuals can minimize or help overcome resistance to change. The best way to introduce change is to plan it carefully, keep employees well informed, involve them in the planning and, if possible, in the decision making. That means everyone will experience less disruption, less stress and less loss of efficiency in operations.
