Internet Dial-up System
Windows NT (4.x)
Access to to the Internet though Windows NT (4.x) is described
below in two separate parts:
- Select ‘START’
- Select ‘Programs’
- Select ‘Accessories’
- Select ‘Dial-Up Networking’
NOTE: If ‘Dial-Up
Networking’ is not listed then try the following: Select
the ‘My Computer’ icon on the desktop, and then
select the
‘Dial-Up Networking’ icon. If it still isn't
appearing, then the ‘Dial-Up Networking’ option
was not loaded during installation of Windows NT, and will need
to be added through
the control panel with ‘Add/Remove Programs.’
- Select ‘New’
- Type in ‘FCCJ Internet Access’
NOTE: Make sure
a modem is selected in the ‘Select a modem’ box.
- Make sure a check mark is beside ‘I am calling
the Internet’
- Make sure a check mark is beside ‘Send my
plain text password if that's the only way to connect.’
- Make sure the is NOT a check mark is beside
‘The non-Windows NT server...’
- Select ‘Next’
- Type ‘641-4267’ in the Telephone number
box.
- Select ‘Finish’
- Select ‘Dial’
- Replace whatever maybe currently in the
‘User name:’ box with your FCCJ Radius or NT Domain username.
- Type your Radius or NT Domain password into
the ‘Password:’ box.
- Leave the ‘Domain:’ box empty.
- Click ‘OK’.
- The ‘Connecting to FCCJ Internet Access’ box should appear as your connection is established.
- Launch your network browser (Netscape/Internet
Explorer).
- Done!
