Note: Jessica played in a 6-2 offense as a freshman – hit right side. As a sophomore, Jessica ran a 5-1 offense for us. This explains the difference in her stats for assists and attacks between the two years.

Coach’s Evaluation

At the beginning of her freshman season Tanya was a back up middle blocker for us. She is a tremendous athlete – very strong, quick and excellent jumping ability. She did not play much back row as a freshman, but she is an excellent passer and has good ball control skills. She also has an excellent serve. This season Tanya is one of our starting middle blockers. Her quickness and strength make her a very good blocker and a dangerous attacker. She currently leads the team in blocks.

Tanya is one of the most coachable players I have ever had in our program. She will do anything asked of her to help the team win. She works well with her teammates and shows a maturity beyond her years. She has a great work ethic and is totally dedicated and responsible. It is a pleasure to coach her and have her on our team. She will certainly be an asset to the program she chooses to join next year.
