The
South Gallery is located just inside the main entrance to the beautiful
Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts. Many nationally known artists
and photographers, such as Toshiko Takaezu and Joyce Tennyson have
shown their work here. The lakeside gallery is also an extension
of FCCJ's Fine Arts department, which offers courses in photography,
painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, computer imaging,
and graphic art and design. It features two student shows a year,
the FCCJ Student Holiday Art Exhibit in the fall and the FCCJ Annual
Juried Student Exhibit in the spring. Also of interest are the monthly
exhibits featuring the work of students, faculty members, and the
Jacksonville Watercolor Society. |
