At the South Campus of Florida Community College, Learning Services is comprised of the Learning Center and Library – areas specially designed to provide academic support and information services for the campus community. Our focus is quality service to faculty, staff, and currently enrolled Florida Community College students, and Learning Services team members truly put “students first” by offering individualized assistance to facilitate academic success.
We are fortunate to have many faculty members who volunteer to spend office hours working with students in the Learning Center and Library, furthering our synergistic mission of making high-caliber, subject-specific help readily available to students both in and out of the classroom. Our student tutors participate in training sessions covering subject competency and relevant tutoring skills throughout their tenure as a Learning Center team member. Our dedicated staff members have degrees in a variety of disciplines and in addition to their work in Learning Services, many have faculty certification and regularly teach as adjuncts for the College.
I invite you to explore our Library and Learning Center web pages for information about available services. While on campus, please stop by and let us know how we may be of assistance.
If you have questions or suggestions about Learning Services, please let me know. If you have a positive experience in our Library and Learning Center, let your colleagues and/or fellow students know.
Best of luck with your academic endeavors.
