Dean's Message

As Dean of the Liberal Arts Programs at North Campus, I have the great pleasure of welcoming you to one of the finest academic programs in the nation. Florida Community College at Jacksonville and North Campus excel in offering citizens unparalleled access to a multitude of academic and vocational opportunities, and we take great pride in serving the educational needs of students who seek us out.

The North Campus's Mission Statement says, "North Campus is responsive to the lifelong learning needs of people… dedicated to student success and offers excellent teaching, a quality learning environment and quality services."

Education is a lifelong process and we at the North Campus believe every student has a right to access his or her educational needs at any time. We are responsive to our students in that we offer academic programming that is convenient, timely, and relevant. We believe student success is defined by the student's ability to access educational opportunities that will support his or her goals, whatever those goals may be. We strive for excellence. We believe in quality. We practice quality service.

The Liberal Arts Programs lay the foundation for every student's general education. The Humanities and Arts, Communications, Social and Behavioral Sciences, the Natural and Biological Sciences, Foreign Languages, Education and Child Care, Adult Education, Mathematics - all are essential elements of the globally-educated citizen. You will find them all taught here at North Campus - and taught well!
