Resource Development
Institutional Review Board (IRB)
The College formed an Institutional Review Board (IRB) to monitor, review and approve research projects conducted within the College or by College faculty that involve human subjects. The role of the IRB is to protect the rights and welfare of research subjects.
Research to be conducted at the College must be approved by the appropriate campus president. The dissertation proposal, thesis or research study must then be approved by the applicant's dissertation committee. The project is then ready for review by the IRB.
To schedule IRB review, please contact Dr. Phyllis Renninger at 904.632.3327. Dr. Renninger will provide additional information on presenting a project to the IRB.
All grant proposals that involve human research subjects must have been reviewed by the IRB prior to submission of the grant application. This process is handled by the Resource Development department in collaboration with the project's design team and assigned Resource Development Officer (RDO).
