Project Renaissance

Major Objectives

Year 1 (2003-04)

  1. To increase to 85% the number of college preparatory students successfully completing the student life skills course, SLS 1103, by September 30, 2004.
  2. To increase by 25% the fall-to-fall retention of students participating in the campus based college preparatory learning community.

Year 2 (2004-05)

  1. To increase by 10% student satisfaction with college enrollment and registration services by September 30, 2005.
  2. To increase to 90% the number of students completing a comprehensive electronic assessment for placement of college preparatory students by September 30, 2005.
  3. To increase to 85% the number of college preparatory students successfully completing the mandatory orientation by September 30, 2005.
  4. To increase to 90% the number of college preparatory students successfully completing the basic level reading and writing courses and to 75% the number of college preparatory students successfully completing basic level mathematics courses by September 30, 2005.

Year 3 (2005-06)

  1. To increase to 90% the number of college preparatory students successfully completing upper level reading and writing courses and to 75% the number of college preparatory students successfully completing basic level mathematics courses by September 30, 2006.
  2. To increase by 10% student satisfaction with assessment and advising services by September 30, 2006.

Year 4 (2006-07)

  1. To increase to 85% the number of college preparatory students successfully completing college level courses by September 30, 2007.
  2. To increase by 10% student satisfaction with career counseling, personal counseling, and tutoring and learning center services by September 30, 2007.

Year 5 (2007-08)

  1. To increase by 10% student satisfaction with financial aid services by September 30, 2008.
  2. To increase the fall-to-fall retention rate of college preparatory students to 70% through the redesign of instructional and support systems by September 30, 2008.
  3. To increase to 15% the number of college preparatory students completing all required college preparatory courses within two years by September 30, 2008.
