Mission Statement

In an atmosphere conducive to learning, the Kent Campus Learning Center will provide instructional support to Florida Community College students using various teaching methods and resources designed to foster the development of learning skills.

About Us

Welcome to the Kent Campus Learning Center! We offer individualized tutoring instruction for Florida Community College students on a walk-in basis for classes and related studies in adult studies, business, English, foreign language, history and humanities, math, reading and science. Students desiring academic assistance on any level have the opportunity to use the Learning Center’s services, including highly skilled professional coordinators, peer tutors and/or a variety of learning tools, such as computer tutorials, videos and audiotapes. Some discipline area coordinators offer free workshops each term. The Learning Center staff is committed to academic excellence and individual student achievement.

Microsoft Office XP, Internet access, multimedia programs, program languages and a wide variety of computer tutorials in various discipline areas, including college-level academic skills test (CLAST) and general educational development (GED) preparation are available in the Learning Center’s computer area. The computer and tutoring areas are Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible.

Friday	8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Saturday	9 a.m.-5 p.m.
