Learning Center Workshops
Free seminars in English topics will be held at students' request. If you and a few classmates would like a special session on writing or grammar topics, just contact Barbara Bryant at 904.381.3449 in the Learning Center to set a time and place. As always, you are welcome to come in for individual help.
Free exit exam reviews in basic and elementary math will be held at the end of each term. Look for information about dates and times in the Learning Center and from professors. Contact the Learning Center math area at 904.381.3419 with any questions.
Additional workshop times and topics can be arranged through math coordinators Henry Moore, Leo Pacatan and Jeremy Lee, at 904.381.3441, to suit the needs of faculty and students. A group of at least three students is required to schedule a time.
Want to know how to be successful in accounting classes? Come to the math area of the Learning Center and check out Henry Moore's PowerPoint presentation for in-lab viewing. When the need arises, study sessions can be held for any business subject. All that is needed is for you to let Henry Moore (904.381.3419) know that you would like a study session.
If you need something that is not covered above, just ask! We would like to see you succeed in your math and business classes at Kent Campus. We are here to help you.
Review sessions in units' conversion, stoichiometry, nomenclature, equilibrium chemistry, half-cell chemistry, gas laws and thermodynamics are offered upon request. See Sarah Boaz (381-3706) in the science area to make an appointment for a small group review session. Other topics are available as needed.
Computer help in basic internet search, Microsoft Word and Excel is available any time from the Learning Center computer tutors. Please remember to bring a disk on which to save your work.
Let us know if we have met your needs today. Please contact Billy Thomas.
