Checklist for CRLA II

Requirements for CRLA Regular Tutor Certification Level II

_____1. Review of Level I topics. Group Workshop for all tutors using interactive discussion and films. (4              hours) (REQUIRED) (verification required)

_____2. Supervisor workshop with two or more tutors to interactively discuss designated training manual              tutor topics. (2 hours) (REQUIRED) (verification required)

_____3. Use of probing questions

_____4. Characteristics of adult learners/learning styles

_____5. Cultural awareness and inter-cultural communications

_____6. Identifying and using resources

_____7. Tutoring in specific skill/subject areas

_____8. Other - More direct tutoring technique

_____TOTAL TRAINING HOURS (10 total minimum hours beyond Level I requirements and 4          minimum topics required in addition to topics covered in general workshop)

Required Tutoring Experience

_____25 documented hours of actual tutoring experience beyond Level I (50 cumulative hours between          Level I and II). (Hours worked sheets attached.)

_____Tutor Selection Criteria (CRLA tutor selection form completed with attachments.)
