Career Development Center
Faculty Resources
The Kent Campus Career Development Center appreciates faculty support! Our goal is to partner with faculty and staff to offer comprehensive services and resources to our students. Below are some ideas on how you can utilize the Kent Campus Career Development Center:
Our workshops and special events are an excellent addition to any course. If you would like to bring your class(es) to a Career Center workshop or event please RSVP to Karen Palato at 904.381.3594. We now require prior sign-up due to space limitations at some of the event locations.
Even if you cannot bring your class to one of our events, you can still offer extra credit to any student who chooses to attend. The Career Development Center has a sign-in sheet for each event. If any of your students attend we will email you their name and the workshop or event they attended.
We will deliver a classroom presentation to your class(es) – just contact us to schedule a date and time. Classroom presentations are available on the following topics:

During the second classroom visit, students will receive an overview of John Holland’s RIASEC theory as well as the results of their assessment. Each student will receive an interpretive report, approximately 12-15 pages in length, which matches the results of their assessment with sample occupations, programs of study, and leisure activities.
