Departments/Programs: Division of Liberal Arts
The natural environment courses are intended to provide a basic knowledge
of biological and physical sciences by offering students the opportunity
to become acquainted with the basic concepts, language and problem-solving
skills necessary to scientific inquiry. The courses provide a fundamental
basis for the developing relationship between the natural environment and
the other academic disciplines necessary for universal understanding and
survival.
Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.)
The associate in arts degree is the most common community college degree
program. It is a general education degree program for students who intend
to transfer to a university to complete a bachelor’s degree. Earning
a Florida Community College A.A. degree guarantees your admission to a
state university in Florida. Florida Community College also has educational
alliances with several other institutions that fully accept the College’s
degree and credits and will admit our graduates at junior-level standing.
